So this is all about me! 2006 is my year, the year I'm gonna move forward from my problems & the rut I'm been stuck in. I got some stuff to sort out & some ambitions I wanna make happen. Hope you can join me for the ride...

Amazing Grace
John & I went to see Amazing Grace at the Picture House tonight – it was a really good film, so moving and very well executed. John had to be impressed with my restraint – I managed to watch right up til 5 mins from the end before I mentioned Michael Gambon being Dumbledore! You can read our thoughts on the film over on the joint blog…

I am in a bit of mess, truth be told and 2006 is all about sorting me out. The past 3 years have been a bit of a rollercoaster for me. I spent an amazing year in Australia in 2003 then I returned home to the UK for 2004. Lets just say I landed back in the 'real world' with a bit of a bump. On one hand I made a real effort to make 2004 a good year but no matter how hard I tried in was never going to match up to 2003. I ended up depressed, skint & not a very nice person! all brought on by a mix of things - being home, being in debt, being in a bad relationship. By '05 I was nearly at rock bottom but over the year I picked myself up, dusted myself down & started on the long road to sorting my life out. Its not been easy and i'm no way back on the 'straight & narrow' but I'm ready to face the music so ... lets DANCE!!!
Sorry another slack, not updated bit! I have read a load more books since I last updated this so I will have a think & update soon - promise!
'Twenty Times a Lady' by Karyn Bosnak Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant!! I loved it, can't wait for the movie.
'Swansong' by Victoria Routledge Not the best book in the world but not bad. Good (if not predictable) ending. Split between the 1960s & the Naughties
'Ghost Girl' by Torey Hayden' Really good book - finished it in about 2 days. Its worrying to think Torey Hadens books are true, they're pretty harrowing.
'Where Rainbows End' by Cecelia Ahern Really good, cool way of writing - all letters & notes. I like Cecelia's books.
'The Three Day Rule' by Josie Lloyd & Emlyn Rees Good book, nice easy reading which I needed after 2 rough reads!
